Ultimate Gutter Guard Challenge Videos
Ultimate Gutter Guard Challenge is our popular YouTube series in which we test gutter guards on a garage in tough, real-world conditions. Filmed over 3-years, for each season we tested the most popular gutter guards from leading manufacturers. The gutter guards were tested for one year and were installed next to, but isolated from, each other. Mother Nature did her thing, and we simply captured the results on video.
We tested 22 gutter guards, including LeafFilter, MasterShield, Gutterglove Pro (old version), LeafSolution, LeaFree, MicroMax (formerly known as GutterLove), HomeCraft, Clean Mesh, Valor, All-American Gutter Protection, GutterDome, Gutter Rx, Shur-flo and Englert. We also tested newer gutter covers such as RainDrop and HydroFlo, as well as several DIY gutter guards sold at big box chain stores.
This in-depth series showcases how each gutter guard performs during each season: spring, summer, fall and winter. If researching and looking for the best gutter guards has become a daunting task, this video series for you.
Ultimate Gutter Guard Challenge 2025
The Ultimate Gutter Guard Challenge 2025 features gutter guards from Gutter Rx, Hoover Dam, Shur-flo, Truss LeafOff, Englert MicroGuard, Klean Gutter, LeafSolution Xtreme, GutterStuff, and an Expanded Metal Screen.
We also kept MasterShield (winner of the 2021 Ultimate Gutter Guard Challenge) and LeafFilter (the most heavily advertised gutter guard on the market) to see how they would compare to the new entrants.
