I found this site while searching for data on different gutter guard systems (micro screen, aluminum, etc) and what would be best for my particular application (which is a 10-12 pitch roof and 1 long valley). I received a very nice response within 24 hours which provided significant information. It was evident they had given my questions significant thought and consideration. This is particularly impressive given that they are located in Ohio and I am in Virginia so there is essentially no chance they would end up doing the work on my house.I have been doing some pretty heavy research off and on for over a month - this is easily the most impressive company I had run across.If I lived in the Ohio area - these guys would definitely be putting gutters on my house this week!!!

We were pleased with the new 6" gutters and MasterSheild gutter guards Gutter Guard Direct installed on our single-story commercial building. The installers did a excellent job of installing new gutters and gutter guards using quality materials. It has been more than a year since the installation and the gutters, downspouts and guards have performed very well over all 4 seasons. We would recommend their services.

What I really liked the most about Gutter Guards Direct was that Johnathan wasn’t trying to sell me one solution; he was upfront with pricing and did not use any high pressure sales tactics. He simply gave me the quote and told me to contact him if I decided to go forward with anything. The job was done in timely manner. I’m not qualified to evaluate the quality of work done because it’s far from my expertise but he warranties his work and I am confident that my gutters will stand the test of time!

My gutters are amazing and look great!! I opted for some 6” Faux copper gutters with some gutter guards that will keep me from having to climb up a ladder now that leaves are falling. They go great with my historic 1850’s home. Johnathan’s expertise helped direct all my water to a better drainage area and to help reduce the issues that are common with an old house and water drainage. This also brought down the cost of my gutters with out having excessive drainage points that you don’t need when you get larger gutters that can handle more run off water. - oh and I only found one little piece of scrap metal after they removed my gutters and completed the project. I still find debris from when my roof was replaced 2 years ago. So they paid attention to every detail which is amazing when you have a large garden full of thousands of plants making it more difficult for them to work.

Those 6-inch gutters go through a 2-step coloring process. Enamel paint is baked onto the metal during the first step. Second, thousands of small pieces of pure copper are applied and baked onto the paint layer to give the gutter a unique texture and appearance. So know that your gutters are faux no more! And you may be the only guy in Dayton with those gutters because we had to go all the way to Nashville, Tennessee, to pick-up that material. By coupling your fancy gutters with our top-performing MasterShield micro mesh gutter guards that will easily repel leaves, pine needles, and debris; hopefully, you'll be able to get some high-capacity rain barrels to capture all the water from your roof to keep your plants happy and well nourished throughout the year while also keeping your basement dry!
I like that Gutter Guards Direct offers a range of solutions from entry level to top end. My needs dictated an entry solution would be sufficient. A small job of 40 feet on the back of a new home near a tree line. The crew was polite and professional. The work was done in less than an hour.

I'm a roofing contractor in Wisconsin. A client of ours wanted a specific brand of gutter helmet installed that we had not worked with before. The folks at Gutter Guards Direct did a FANTASTIC job walking us through how to install the LeaFree tear-drop style helmet. Our call was answered immediately by a human, and we were quickly transferred to an extremely knowledgeable employee (maybe owner?) Named Jonathan. We did extensive research on what style of gutter guard we wanted and brought in multiple companies to give us quotes on different systems and tell us why theirs was “the best.” Jonathan was the only representative that didn’t push us to make a decision that day to “get the best deal” they offered. He was also the only one who really listened to what we wanted to do (Another company tried to talk us out of new gutters saying all we needed was the guard when our 25+ year old gutters were overflowing regularly). Jonathan was knowledgeable, informative and extremely professional. We felt no pressure to make a quick decision with him. The team who did our installation (Byron and Craig) did a phenomenal job and were even kind enough to explain a few things they were doing to our two toddlers who were fascinated by the process. They also were extremely respectful of the fact that our children went to bed early and cleaned up well before dark so as not to disrupt our children’s routine. Finally Corry, Jack and Paul who came to snake our main drain from the downspout to the street were prompt, professional and got the job done in about 20 minutes when we thought we were going to have to trench our yard. We would absolutely recommend Gutter Guards Direct to a friend to get the job done correctly.

This may sound odd, but I am a big fan of these gutter guards. My house is located in the woods and I would dred Fall and it’s leafy deluge. Had these gutter guards Installed Summer 2021… No more dred, only peace of mind.

When I started looking around for new gutters, Johnathan at Gutter Guards was so prompt in responding and came to my house almost immediately to give me a quote. Even with the pandemic happening, he brought all his supplies, and I got to have a live demo of the different gutter guards on a sample roof/gutter, which as a visual person was fantastic! In about 2 weeks, Byron and Craig came out to install my new black gutters (multiple color options available). They looked so nice that my neighbor called them the same day haha. The guys were so generous that they even hung up my new shutters and cleaned off my messy deck 🙂 Highly recommended!
This company was great. Would have even 5 stars but they did leave trash behind in my yard. Other than that. Perfect.

Let me start by saying I have waited well over a year before providing a review to ensure a favorable review was not simply the effect of getting "something" done. So 15 months after the fact here is what I can say.My home is surrounded by large oak trees and I have tried multiple types of gutter guards over many years. In the end I was dissatisfied with all previous attempts. In late summer 2021, I started shopping for something new. I was happy with the assessment that was made concerning what was actually needed, what I could expect in terms of performance and of course price. Unlike the other companies that came out, there was inflated first offer and no false negotiation on price. A reasonable price right off the bat with information on options and which would best serve me. I opted for the MasterShield Micro Mesh, as I needed to deal with acorns, leaves and catkins. This “system” came with a lifetime no clog warranty. It was not the clogging of the downspouts I was worried about, but ensuring the gutters would handle the water coming off the roof.I did not need new gutters but there were areas where the existing gutters needed to be realigned. When the team came out to install the new gutter guards, it was a cold and windy day. They did an excellent job with the installation, realigning the gutters and cleaning up afterward.A couple of weeks after the installation, a large branch came down and knocked a portion of the guard out of kilter. One call to Gutter Guards Direct and they were out quickly to remedy the situation.Now 16 months later, the gutters have handled all the rain, sleet and snow with no issues. There are no longer large drip areas where the gutters could not handle the water. It is not a one size fits all business and they provided exactly what I needed. I highly recommend Gutter Guards Direct. They do good work, at a fair price and provided the right system for the right job.

The folks at Gutter guards promptly responded to my request for assistance. Within a week Jonathon had come to my house and carefully reviewed the problem and suggested a fix. When the work was scheduled, the workmen came on time, were respectful and friendly and finished the work early! There had been water overflowing the gutters and tracking into the basement. So far we have seen no leakage. It seems to be fixed!!
I called the office saying I was from Boston looking to buy Gutter guards. Amazingly within 10 minutes Jonathan the owner called me from Ohio and spent 1/2 hour discussing pros/cons of different gutter guard types/brands. It turns out he actually doesn't sell online (just sells and installs in the midwest)-- so what's truly AMAZING is that he spent 30 minutes helping me decide which gutter guard is best for my specific house/tree situation while knowing that there was no possibility of selling anything. This guy is just a Gutter Guard testing and comparison eycyclopedia who just loves talking shop and helping folks (see his independent comparison reviews on Youtube). Annually, I would get on the roof to clean the gutters. While standing on the roof every year looking down at the ground three stories below, I was convinced that this is how my story ends. My wife convinced me that I should invest in gutter guards so I didn’t have anymore near death experiences. Calling Johnathan was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made… and my wife supports that statement.

Buyer beware! Keep your records of your payment! I purchased gutters 06/2021, I was just sent an unpaid invoice today 12/27/23. No apology after I sent proof of payment. Poor business practices!

The Gutter guard installers that came to install the gutters on my house were very professional and didn't make any excuses. They were all about their business in getting the job done, even when they underestimated the materials needed to complete the job. One of the guys traveled to their warehouse to obtain the materials required to complete the job. I will recommend them to anyone who needs new gutters installed.

Fantastic company. Johnathan was great. He came to our home and explained everything in detail about their products and the process. He was available for any questions, and worked with our roofing contractor to ensure that the project was seamless. The gals in the office were wonderful at communicating with us regarding the installation scheduling. Gutter Guards Direct did a great job on our house installing their gutter system to keep out leaves and other types of debris. I looked at other gutter guard systems, however the method in which the owner gathered information specific to our house, like using a drone to see upper level issues and the professional manner in which all tasks were carried out and the product review sold me on this system. We have literally had no problems and elated at the job it does. I have recommended them to others; a good company to go with.

Gutter Guards Direct did a great job on a difficult home installation. The existing gutters were clogged and some existing screens were collapsed. The gutters were cleaned and new mesh screens installed. Shouldn't have any more problems.
They came and put the gutters guards up clean up behind themselves and check them thoroughly and you and check my downspout but he did a very good job . Thank you

I had a really challenging to solve leak around a spot where my gutters met the chimney on my house. Water was seeping into and damaging my walls. Gutter Guards quickly identified the problem and applied a combination of techniques to the area that fixed the leak. I’m very happy with the work they did. They were easy to work with, smart, fast and professional. Will contact them again with any gutter related issues or replacement needs I have in the future. Highly recommend.
Response from the owner: Water can be such a pain, can't it? Over the years, we have learned a lot about how water flows from the roof to the gutters. Sometimes it makes it from the gutter to the sewer system. Sometimes it makes it to the living room, kitchen, or basement. In this case, you had a water feature in the bedroom. I'm glad we were able help you solve this water problem. After all, nobody wants a water feature in the bedroom! At least most nobody!
They did everything they said they would do and did it professionally and in the time they said they would do it. We were getting lots of water in our basement from gutters overflowing and the Gutter Guards took care of it well.

Gutter Guard Direct installed MasterShield Gutter guards on our house a year ago. We have 50+ 45ft pine trees in our backyard after doing our research Johnathan came out and advised us this was the best for the type of trees that we have. 90% of the pine needles come off the roof. The ones that dont are because they get stuck in the valleys, which has nothing to do with the mastershield product. My son blows them out of valleys pretty easily. I have lived here 35 years and the $$$ I wasted paying for my gutters to be cleaned out several times a year would have paid for these. If someone ask me today was the cost worth it, Hell yeah One of the best money we ever spent on our home. Thanks Johnathan and Gutter Guards Direct

Wanted to wait and see how product performed through heavy rain, leaves (wooded lot), ice & snow and the results were incredible.The recommended Mastershield gutter covers, installed at the prescribed sloped orientation, eliminated any of the accumulation, drainage issues and regular sweeping we encountered with our previous conventional flat gutter covers.Johnathan's thorough testing experience with product options and tailored recommendations were key to our decision to proceed. Very satisfied and would recommend!

I said, "Gutter Guards Direct. This is Johnathan. How may I help you?Your phone number showed as being from New York City. You said that you were looking for gutters.The first question I asked you is, "What market are you in?" You didn't understand my question, so I repeated the question by asking, "What city are you calling from?" When I asked, "Dayton?" you said "yes."Ross, what you may not realize is that we service customers in multiple cities and states. It's not unusual for us to receive calls from out of state, and it's not unusual for out-of-state phone numbers to be located in our service territories. However, we do need to clarify if the caller is located in our service zone; otherwise, we're wasting each other's time talking about a service we cannot provide.Once you confirmed that you were located in Dayton, Ohio, I then asked you if you wanted 5" or 6" gutters. You said 5".You then asked me how much gutters cost. I told you.I asked you, "Do you know how many feet you need?" You said 26 feet.You then asked, "What kind of gutters are they?" I said, "I don't understand your question, what do you mean what kind of gutters are they?"Instead of clarifying your question, your response was "Never mind, I'll call someone else to get a quote."You hung up and then a few minutes later, you left a 1-star review. Interestingly enough, this was your first and only Google review.What "Ross Bargains" didn't stick around long enough to find out is that we go out of our way to learn about the issues our prospective customers are having and explain what we do. That's why I asked him a series of questions, and further asked him to clarify a question that I didn't understand.Rather than elaborate, he ended the conversation. I didn't hang up on him. I didn't say I wasn't interested in talking with him any longer. I didn't say, "sorry, your job is too small." Nor did I tell him that we don't extrude and drop off gutter for homeowners or contractors to self-install.He initiated the call. He ended the call. And he left his mark in the form of a 1-star review. Such is his prerogative in this digitally driven social media age.It's also our right to respond. We could simply be meek and say, "sorry." Or we could go into detail to explain what actually occurred. I've opted for the latter.It's Ross' 2 sentence review vs. this business owners multi-paragraph response. Yes, I was perturbed by this review. Mostly because Ross Bargains isn't a "customer" as his review implies, and he hung-up nearly as quickly as the call began. Candidly, it was a strange call from the start.Companies pay individuals to write good reviews for their friends and employers and bad reviews of their competitors. Since "Ross Bargains" was so quick to end a conversation that barely started, yet so eager to write his first Google review on a page that has all 5-star reviews from actual customers, is Ross Bargains real or fake?I wonder.While we may never know the legitimacy of the inquiry and the reviewer, thanks for clueing us in that even a brief phone call is worthy of leaving a review -- good or bad. We'll keep that in mind next time next time the phone rings.P.S. If you're calling from New York on a Saturday afternoon, don't be offended if we don't take your call!

Owner came and presented me with several options, was not pushy and demanding. Explained all multiple options that were available since they sell several different products and were very reasonably priced. Installers shower up, cleaned out the gutters and did a clean and thorough job installing and finished in one day. Highly recommend this company.

Gutter Gard Direct installed new 6 incb gutters and leaf guards as well. Crew were quiet, friendly cleand up after they left as of they were never there. The price for there service was half the price another well known company who actually were condescending! Not Johnathan his word was his bond. You rarely see this type of service any more. I don't recomed often, but this Company deserves the recognition.

Gutter Guards Direct did great work. Thorough and quick.
They installed MasterShield gutter guards almost one year ago.Installation crew arrived and finished on time - very professional.Product works great. No clogged gutters. Water is not overflowing or over-shooting gutters.There was one small problem causing pollen and leaves to stick in one short area, but they came back and corrected that by changing the product angle.Price was reasonable for high quality product and installation.

I love my new gutter guards. No more climbing up on a ladder and risking my life. They were prompt and efficient.
This was a great solution to our frustrations with helicopter leaves clogging our gutters. We weren't sure if we would be able to afford them, but the company sent a representative out and he showed us a wide range of products. We'd already shopped at home improvement stores, but this company's products were definitely superior. We also didn't realize how complicated installation could be so we are glad we got professional help. The representative didn't try to up sell us and recommended only what we needed. The entire process was very easy, after we made our decision they installed them within a few weeks. They even included sealing the gutters and moving with the installation. We look forward to never cleaning or paying anyone to clean our gutters ever again.

Purchased LeaFree gutter guard for my 5” existing gutters, installed late winter(after most leaves had fallen from trees). Gutter guard is allowing a few leaves to get into the gutters, but not near enough to clog up. With fall just around the corner, we’ll wait and see what happens when “bunches” of leaves fall.
I no longer had the desire to climb the ladder to clean the gutters. I previously used Gutter Guards Direct for installation of a new gutter system in 2019. During the original quote, I asked Johnathan to quote me for gutter guards along with the gutters, so I knew how much I would be looking at in the future, if I chose his services again. Johnathan did not pressure me into bundling services and that lack of pressure was what got the initial sale. After seeing the quality of work done on my gutters, I knew that I would be a repeat customer once I saved up. Even after 6 months in between services, Johnathan honored the original contract price for gutter guards. I also needed pressure washing services because I had some mold growing on my siding; I contacted Johnathan and he said he also provides this service. The cost for pressure washing was within my budget, so I decided to go ahead and bundle this with my gutter guard install. I found Gutter Guards Direct because after much research, they were the only company in our area that carried the gutter guards I wanted. Johnathan was professional and offered me other less expensive products. I went with the one I had researched. Both Johnathan and his installers made themselves available on our schedule. Installation was on time and flawless. The guards have withstood one of the fiercest storms we have seen here and performed perfectly! The only issue I have is that in cleaning up, the installers left a small pile of staples in our driveway which I found days later after driving in and out of our garage over them. But I am very happy with the finished product and would definitely recommend Johnathan and Gutter Guards Direct!

We used Gutter Guards Direct to install gutter guards on our oversized gutters on our log home (metal roof) last year. We were very pleased with the product we selected from a number of different types of guards offered by the firm. The pros and cons of each type were thoroughly explained. We were able to obtain a design that fit our needs as metal roofs experience a large amount of runoff and we also live in a heavily wooded and windy area that resulted in a lot of leaves, pine needles and other tree debris accumulating in our gutters. Replaced extremely problematic gutters / guards on both my garage and barn!! Worked with me to find the right solution for each unique situation! I was very impressed with a custom solution, not just a buy these approach that the others used, but a real solution that Jonathan knew would work! And he worked with me to reduce my cost but selling the best where the best was needed and the areas that didn’t require the high end guards he sold the less expensive! I got three gutter guard companies to come give me an estimate telling all three I'm not buying today I'm just pricing. Telling all three give me your best price and don't change it going out the door. Jonathan was the third company and he explained everything that he had to offer very well and gave me a price. Jonathan and gutter guard direct was thousands of dollars cheaper. The other two companies called me to find out what I had decided. I told them gutter guards price and they said all we can match that. And dropped his price $3,000. The installers that came were great they put my gutters guard up last March. So I have had my leaf guards for a year and tickled to death with them and with gutter guard direct.
Don't wait for a disaster to strike. Call Gutter Guards Direct and have them give you analysis of your gutter system. I waited too long it was costly. However, these guys were professional, experienced and perhaps some of the nicest people I've ever dealt with. Don't delay. Call them!
