In episode 2, we’ll show you the new 6” gutters that we’re installing on the garage to house the gutter guards. We’ll also dig into and show you more detail about each of the gutter guards we’re testing. There will be a total of twelve 4-foot sections of gutter, and a total of 12 downspouts installed on the garage. This will allow us to fully isolate and showcase each gutter guard isolated from the next.
Three gutter guards will be showcased on both sides of the garage, while the other systems will be represented on either the north or south side of the garage. We selected the gutter guards based on what is popular and what we had readily available.
Tested gutter guards will include LeafFilter, MasterShield, GutterGlove Pro, Gutter Glove’s Easy-on DIY gutter guard; Semco’s Clean Mesh, MGP’s GutterLove aka LeafLock, LeafSolution, and a diamond pattern micro mesh that is manufactured by the same company that makes Valor gutter guards and is sold as a professionally installed and DIY system under two different names.
We’ll also be testing a solid aluminum gutter cover called LeaFree. It’s the only solid gutter cover being tested and will offer a good counterpoint to the micro mesh gutter guards.
